The Sauna Mill is an outdoor sauna with ice baths in the grounds of an old mill at Ballinhassig, in the countryside south of Cork city and about 15 minutes' drive from Ballincollig. It's a hot-and-cold set-up: a round in the sauna, then into the cold.

About The Sauna Mill

When we checked, it opened on Saturdays from 7am to 4pm. A shared hour cost €20 and a half hour €10, with up to eight people per session. You can also book the whole sauna for your own group: €80 for an hour or €40 for half an hour. Payment is cash only.

It isn't a sea or lake sauna. The cold comes from plunge tubs, and the setting is the old mill and the woodland around it.
