Good to know

Where can I get an ice bath in Ireland?

We list 130 venues with a cold plunge or ice bath beside a sauna, across the island, plus 16 dedicated ice bath and contrast therapy studios. Dublin, Cork, Kerry and Wicklow have the most.

What's the difference between an ice bath and a cold plunge?

Mostly the temperature. A cold plunge is any tub or pool of cold water, often 6 to 12°C; an ice bath is usually colder, sometimes with ice added. Many venues use the terms interchangeably.

How long should you stay in an ice bath?

Between 30 seconds and two minutes is plenty for most people. Get out before you start shivering hard, and don't do it alone or after drinking.
